Photographers enjoyed the sunshine this week and snapped some of the first signs of summer in Oxfordshire.

The Oxford Mail Camera Club theme this week was ‘summer’, as temperatures across the county soared well into the twenties.

Pictures of flowers, bees, summer picnics and beach days were all posted to the Oxford Mail Camera Club Facebook page for this week’s competition.

One floral snap in particular caught our eye, which we have crowned this week’s competition winner.

This beautiful snap of long daisies with golden yellow centres against a sunlit backdrop was sent in by Oxfordshire photographer Jamie Smith.

The dreamy summertime photograph captures the beauty of nature on a warm day and truly sets the mood for the coming months, with much more sun set to come.
