A COUPLE were robbed by a gang of four men as they walked home in Headington.
The man and woman were confronted by the gang as they reached the alleyway that runs between Grays Road and Valentia Road.
The men threatened them and demanded that they hand over their belongings.
They stole a white Raleigh bicycle, two mobile phones, an iPod and about £30 in cash and walked off down the alleyway towards Grays Road.
The robbery happened at about 5.30pm on Friday, but details were only released today. No descriptions of the robbers were issued.
Det Con Felicity Parker said: "Two of the men could have been carrying knives. I hope there were plenty of people around who may have seen these men in the area.
"Just before the robbery they were standing near to the metal railings in Valentia Road and I would ask that anyone who may have seen them or have any information to get in touch."
Anyone with any information about the incident to contact Det Con Parker at Oxford police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you do not want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
