It started just before 2pm and some crews were still at the scene by 8pm.
A two-storey industrial bulding used to store plastic for domestic use was engulfed in flames with the roof collapsing and the building destroyed by fire.
A garage storing eight cars was also ablaze which collapsed and the cars were destroyed.
The fire also destroyed the fencing of nearby homes. Firefighters used five main jets, four sets of breathing apparatus, two turntable ladders and a water tanker.
Sixteen appliances and crews from Buckinghamshire, Royal Berkshire and Oxfordshire and nine officers attended - about 70 people in total.

More than 100 999 calls were received regarding the fire and no one was hurt.
Local residents were advised to avoid the area and keep doors and windows closed because of the smoke plume. Relief crews started to take over later in the afternoon and during the evening.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said on Facebook: "The ability to work seamlessly across borders is a key part of working together and this incident saw over sixteen crews from across the Thames Valley doing just that."
