POLICE are hunting for a gang of teenage robbers who attacked four youngsters as they walked through east Oxford.

Three boys - one aged 13 and two 14-year-olds - and a 14-year-old girl were stopped on the corner of Cowley Road and Bartlemas Road, Oxford, at 11pm last night.

Two of the robbers demanded valuables and stole a video iPod and a mobile phone.

Det Con Jim Holmes, of the Oxford Robbery Team, said: "While these teenagers were unhurt, they were treated aggressively and left frightened and shocked by this incident.

"The robbery occurred on a busy stretch of the Cowley Road at a busy time of day and we are confident that somebody may have seen something.

"So, if you were in the Divinity Road or bingo hall area of Cowley Road on Sunday night, please come forward if you witnessed something suspicious."

The first robber was white, aged about 16 years, 5ft 10in tall, stocky build, and has short, straight fair hair.

He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, a black scarf covering his mouth, black gloves, dark tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers.

The second is also white, about 17 years old, 5ft 11in tall, slim with a thin face and short and straight mousey-brown hair and wearing a dark red and maroon zip-up Lonsdale top with dark tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers.
