This was the scene in High Street, Oxford, nearly a century ago when horses and carts and errand boys were a feature of everyday life.
The picture belongs to Jean Dudley, of Church Road, Great Milton.
She writes: "It may have been taken in the 1920s as the woman on the right is wearing a short skirt.
"No doubt some of us remember the young grocery errand boys with the basket on the bicycle.
"On the left is All Saints Church, which I knew as St Martin's and All Saints when I was a member of the choir in the 1950s. It is now Lincoln College library."
