Police are appealing for witnesses following the stabbing of a man in his twenties in Oxford.
At around 10.25pm on Monday May 24 officers, were called to Saunders Road, Oxford after a man in his twenties had been stabbed.
It is believed the victim was walking along Saunders Road when a vehicle stopped, and the occupants of the vehicle ran towards the victim and stabbed him.
The man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Two 23-year-old men and one 20-year-old man, and a 19-year-old woman, all from Oxford, have been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent in connection with this incident. They remain in custody at this time.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector James Mather of CID based at St Aldates police station, said: “We are asking for the public’s assistance in investigating this incident and we are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen this incident or have seen any vehicles acting suspiciously in the lead up to the incident.”
Deputy LPA Commander for Oxford, Chief Inspector Jen Hogben, said: “We are aware that this incident may have had an impact on the community, and we are carrying out a thorough investigation.”
“We have made four arrests in connection with the incident and as a result of this we will be increasing our patrols in the area, and we would encourage anyone with any concerns or information to please speak to one of our uniformed officers.”
