FIREFIGHTERS across Oxfordshire were kept busy today with a series of cars on fire across the county.

The first call was to a vehicle blaze on the A420, near Great Coxwell, just before 1am.

Then at 6.45am, a crew from The Slade fire station attended a car fire in Stowford Road, Barton.

At 7am, arsonists set fire to a car outside the village hall in Middle Road, Stanton St John. Crews from Wheatley and The Slade in Oxford attended.

All three blazes were extinguished within minutes of firefighters arriving.
