THE Government has changed its official travel guidance for a number of Covid-19 hotspots in England.
The advice, which is not law, was updated on Friday evening without an official announcement, a move which has prompted criticism from a number of MPs including Liberal Democrat Layla Moran.Â

The Oxford West and Abingdon MP added that public health leaders in these areas need urgent clarity from the Government.

The affected areas include Bedford, Blackburn and Darwen, Bolton, Burnley, Kirklees, Leicester, Hounslow, and North Tyneside.
People in these areas are advised to:Â
meet outside rather than inside
keep two meters apart from people they do not live with
avoid all but essential travelÂ
