THE University of Oxford has held its first in person event since the pandemic hit last year.
On Wednesday, the university hosted a panel event celebrating the centenary anniversary of women students being admitted to the university.
The event took place at the Sheldonian Theatre and was also live-streamed to an online audience on YouTube.
Women were first granted full membership to the university on October 7, 1920 and one week later were given the right to be awarded degrees.

Since October of last year, the university’s Women Making History campaign has celebrated the contributions of women to scholarship and university life, reflecting on the journey towards gender equality at the university.
Staff and students have also reflected on the significance of the anniversary.
The ‘Women Making History: Shaping Oxford’s next Century’ event took place from 5pm to 6.30pm.
