A SMALL fire broke out causing significant smoke logging to a large factory unit in Bicester.
Yesterday morning, crews from Bicester, Kidlington and Rewley Road Oxford dealt with the small fire.
Working with the site management fire crews were able to deal with the fire within a machine and remove the smoke using crews in breathing apparatus, hosereels and thermal imaging equipment.
The service’s new hydraulic platform was used to carry out external ventilation assessments as an option for crews.
Fortunately, no-one was injured and due to clear fire procedures, all employees were safely evacuated and the factory unit was able to restart working within two hours.
