SOMEONE is knitting hats for post boxes across the county.
A post box on Abingdon's Wootton Road was spotted sporting a blue knitted hat with bumblebees and flowers sewn on top.
Residents across the town have praised the 'wonderful' and 'beautiful' idea.

Attached to the hat is a small note from the creator which reads: "I hope I make you smile, so stop and look for a while, but please don't take me, it took so long to make me."
Abingdon residents have said the previous hat, that used to cover the post box, suddenly disappeared, with many thinking it had been stolen.
It comes just two weeks after a letter box outside of the Post Office on Downside Road in Risinghurst was spotted wearing a 'hilarious' knitted hat.
Photographer Ed Nix got a snap of the handmade cosy, which says 'Risinghurst here comes the (picture of a sun)' appliquéd into the trim, pictured below.
On top, there is a knitted blue whale, a Loch Ness monster, a boat, colourful fishes and a palm tree and beach scene.
