SCHOOL pupils have launched a wellbeing club for their younger peers.
Lower sixth students at Our Lady’s Abingdon (OLA) came up with the idea following Mental Health Awareness Week.
Six students will assist younger pupils at the ‘Talk To Us’ club.
The club will be student-led, under supervision, aimed at pupil wellbeing.

Activities will vary week to week, ranging from learning yoga or dance, to discussion of a topic of interest.
Students will trial the club for the rest of the term in order to gain a better insight into what kind of content younger pupils will benefit from.
Year 9 students will be the first to participate.
Prav Karian, chief operating officer at the school, said: “Our staff are always focused on pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing and it is heart-warming to see pupils supporting each other too.”
