ROADWORKS have begun around the Walton Street barrier ahead of its scheduled removal.
The barrier, due to be taken down on May 17, was put in place because of road repairs nearly two years ago.
But now, just before it is due to be removed, extra fences have been erected around it for more works, this time to a damaged sewage pipe.

They said the work was expected to be completed by May 17.
A spokesman for Oxfordshire County Council said the work was identified during a camera survey in April, which is why the work could not be identified for repairs at an earlier date.
