SOMEBODY in Oxford has knitted hat for a post box.
It is royal blue and has been put on top of the letter box outside of the Post Office on Downside Road in Risinghurst.
Photographer Ed Nix got a snap of the handmade cosy, which says 'Risinghurst here comes the (picture of a sun)' appliquéd into the trim.
On top, there is a knitted blue whale, a Loch Ness monster, a boat, colourful fishes and a palm tree and beach scene.
It is not known who is behind the creation or why they made it for the post box in the Oxford suburb this week.
One neighbour was delighted to see it on her travels and said it was 'hilarious'.
She added: "It's well worth seeing - it sends such a cheering message in these difficult times."
