UP to 80 engineering workers based at Oxford Airport had an uncertain Christmas after receiving redundancy notices.
The notices were served to employees of CSE Aviation, which is in the process of being sold by BBA Aviation.
BBA said it had lined up a potential buyer that it expected would take on its staff once the deal had been done. Redundancy notices had been served because negotiations were taking longer than expected. If they fail, the company will close.
