A teenage motorist from Chipping Norton was fighting for her life after a head-on collision.
The 19-year-old woman, who has not been named, was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the crash on the A40 on the outskirts of Cheltenham on Saturday.
She was moved from an intensive care unit to a specialist ward on Christmas Eve.
A 20-year-old man, also from Chipping Norton suffered head an leg injuries in the crash.
The crash happened at a blackspot near The Reservoir pub in Charlton Kings.
The couple were travelling in a white Vauxhall van that was in a collision with a black Volkswagen Golf.
Local people went to help the victims before police, firefighters and paramedics arrived.
A one-mile stretch of the road was closed for four hours.
