HUNDREDS of people packed a secluded North Oxford street for a special Christmas shopping event.
It was the second North Parade Street Fair, and the traders who organised the event estimated 300 to 400 people came along.
As well as shopping, there were carols, a brass band, mince pies and mulled wine and other entertainment.
Steve Jebbett, of Town Garden in North Parade and the organiser of last Thursday's event, said: "It was fantastic. Lots of people were here and there was a great buzz.
"We got lots of comments on it being a very Victorian, Dickensian Christmas and it was fabulous.
"It was just a great evening."
