A POPULAR, scenic cycling event is set to return this summer.
This July, Iconic Cycling Events, which run several sportives over the country, will be bringing Bike Oxford back to the city after it was cancelled last year due to Covid.
The sign-up for the event, which will take place on July 11, has now opened and places are selling fast.
This year cyclists have the opportunity to choose where they start and finish, either starting at the Oxford Rugby Club and finishing at the Chipping Norton club or vice versa.
Cyclists can choose what distance they want to ride, including either 25 miles, 50 miles, or 80 miles.
Tickets cost £30 for the medium and long-distance routes and £25 for the shorter routes.
Children's tickets cost £15.

A medal is included within the ticket price.

Refreshments will be supplied by local businesses, including Oxford Fine Food and Hook Norton Brewers, at the start of each race.
The race is also supported by the cycling club, the Cowley Road Condors, who are supporting the charity Helen and Douglass House this year.
Julia Woodcock of Helen & Douglas House, said: “‘We are so delighted to be the local charity partner for these great bike rides.
"This year has been difficult for everyone but particularly for local families with terminally ill children, with many of them shielding without the help of carers or relatives.
"They have needed our help more than ever, particularly at home."
