CUMNOR HILL in West Oxford was closed in both directions after a crash this morning.
*UPDATE*: A 13-year-old boy has a potentially serious head injury.
According to our traffic feed, which can be found here, the accident is of 'medium severity'.
The road was closed from Arnolds Way to Cumnor Rise Road and buses were been diverted.
One eye-witness said there were three ambulances at the scene and believed a child had been involved.
It is now understood to have been a Matthew Arnold School pupil.
The speed limit on the road has just recently been reduced from 40mph to 30mph earlier this month.
In July 2019, Madison Dingle had to be rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital after she was knocked down crossing the same road, near the junction with Chawley Lane, on her way home from school.
She and her mother successfully campaigned for the speed limit to be lowered.
Thames Valley Police officers were at the scene for several hours this morning.
However, in line with its policy, the media office refused to comment on the road traffic collision.
South Central Ambulance Service has been contacted for a comment.
