We all enjoy the sight of a nicely decorated tree, tinsel and a few twinkling lights. But some proud householders prefer to go a step further.
It is a delight to travel around the county at this time of year, and admire the spectacular displays of lights adorning homes.
In some parts of Oxfordshire - not least Oxford's Leys estates - Christmas has become a time for cheery residents to well and truly show off.
Among those bringing a splash of colour to their neighbourhood, is father-of-four Geoff Hall, whose house in Sage Walk, Greater Leys, was dubbed the best illuminated in the area.
Well done Geoff. It really is a stunner.
