A GAS cylinder ‘significantly intensified’ a fire earlier this afternoon.
Crews from Wallingford, Slade Park and Rewley Road tackled the outdoor blaze at just after 1pm, near Berrick Salome.
The gas cylinder intensified the fire, which involved wood, compost and a large tree.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service reported that the blaze is believed to be accidental, and possibly due to ashes being placed near to combustible items, despite having been left to cool overnight.
