AS pubs look forward to what could be a bumper weekend (the first weekend they’ve been able to welcome punters this year), we looked at five Witney pubs to enjoy a beer and food in.
Pubs, in addition to hair and beauty salons, gyms and non-essential retailers were able to open their doors to customers on Monday after a year whereby they have had to find alternative ways of income.
Whether that be click and collect, delivery or other services, businesses have had to adjust in 2021.
However, pubs can now get back to what they do best – offering a place to see friends and relax.

Here’s five pubs with outside space that you can go to this weekend:
The Angel Inn
The Angel Inn in Market Square has been welcoming back customers, making use of its outdoor seating area, and opening bright and early at 9.30am this week.
Blue Boar
Just along the way in Markey Square is the Blue Boar. Open for coffee too if you’re not feeling an alcoholic beverage.
The Horseshoes
The Horseshoes in Corn Street has set up outside tables this week, holding some of them back for walk-ins. Has been tempting customers with its monkfish this week.
The Lord Kitchener
The Curbridge Road pub reopened on Tuesday with a new season menu and small bites menu. Open till 10pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.
The Masons Arms
Last but not least is the Station Road venue, where lobster and frozen margheritas are on the menu at the moment.
