A POPULAR rapper is teaming up with a TV chef for what promises to be one of the strangest moments of this summer's Oxfordshire festival season.
Multi-platinum hip-hop star Professor Green teams up with chef Gizzi Erksine – known for her appearances on shows Cook Yourself Thin and This Morning – for their Giz ‘n’ Greens show at The Big Feastival.
The duo inspired millions online over the last year with their ‘Monday Night Fakeaways’ series, leading to their own pop-up restaurant in Shoreditch, London.
The Big Feastival, hosted by Blur guitarist Alex James, on his farm in Kingham near Chipping Norton is billed as a celebration of music, food and family. Earlier this week it added dance-pop singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, chart-topper Tom Grennan, singer-songwriters Maisie Peters and Emily Burns, and melodic pop band Kawala to its line-up for August 27-29.
They join previously announced acts Sigala, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Rag’n’Bone Man, Zara Larsson, Ella Eyre, All Saints, Reef, Morcheeba, Norman Jay, The Cuban Brothers, Max & Harvey, Zara Larsson, Tom Walker and Judge Jules.
The host also takes to the stage with his own Alex James Orchestra.
Mor culinary talent comes from Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt, James Knappett, Steven Lamb and Romy Gill.
Mr James said: “I cannot wait to welcome everyone back to the farm this summer for our 10th Birthday party.
We’re all in need of a serious celebration this year so we’re pulling out all the stops to ensure this is our best line-up yet. Roll on August!”

While many festivals have again cancelled this summer due to fears over Covid safety and issues with insurance, The Big Feastival has vowed to carry on. Also planning to go ahead is Truck Festival in Steventon.
