Twenty properties including High Street shops in Oxford city centre were left without power this afternoon thanks to a blown fuse.
Department store Boswells and bookseller Waterstones were forced to close while a specialist joiner from Southern Electric worked to reconnect the supply. The power was still out at 4.30pm.
