ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour in Goring will be on camera for the next two months in a joint bid by South Oxfordshire District Council and Thames Valley Police to deter crime in the Station Road area.
The area is a gathering place for groups of young people and has been the site of vandalism and damage.
But now a new mobile CCTV camera has been installed and will operate 24 hours a day and can scan 360 degrees.
Ann Ducker, leader of South Oxfordshire District Council and the area's representative on the council said: "Community safety is one of the council's top priorities.
"This camera will provide public reassurance and help in the detection of crime."
She said it would be in Goring for about two months and then could be moved round the district to target specific problem areas in villages which did not have their own camera systems.
The district council and police have been working with Goring parish council and Oxfordshire County Council in the scheme.
