BANNERS have appeared across Oxford as part of national action urging MPs to wake up to the threat posed by climate change.
Pictured are Oxford mum Megan Murray-Pepper, with her 15-month-old daughter Clemmie, who braved the downpour on Friday morning to support the Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill.
A number of campaigners attended the Covid-safe banner drop over the A40 at the Marston Interchange.
Currently, only Liberal Democrat Layla Moran, has backed the CEE Bill in the county, which campaigners argue, is the only legislative plan that aims to tackle the climate crisis at the speed that science demands.

Ms Murray-Pepper commented: "The world is already showing the impact of global heating and biodiversity collapse, such as food shortages, runaway wildfires, catastrophic flooding, and increasing migration as people's livelihoods are destroyed.
"Here in Oxford we have high levels of pollution, and regular widespread flooding, affecting our children and many of our communities.
"We need local action, as well as global strategies – like low carbon planning for Oxfordshire as part of the green recovery strategy post Covid-19."
