MORE than 700 people have signed up for the virtual Oxford Mail OX5 Run in support of Oxford Children’s Hospital.

Runners and walkers are tackling the five-mile route in their local areas instead of at the grounds of Blenheim Palace, in line with Government Covid-19 guidelines.

Even though the fun run will take place on Sunday, people can still sign up today for the event and keep adding to the fundraiser.

Here are some of the people in Oxfordshire taking part in the much-loved annual event.

Some runners like Pippa Parnell have really pushed themselves and doubled their five-mile route. Well done Pippa!

Paediatric trainee Emily Lees had a bit of a head start as she was on shift at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Ms Lees is representing the Oxford Vaccine Group in the run.

Mary Wilson, health promotion practitioner at Oxford University Hospitals, will also take part in the run on Sunday.
