Hinksey Outdoor Pool is set to reopen on Monday although it will be at a bracing temperature for the first week while final repairs are made.
Hardy swimmers will be able to enjoy the beautiful Hinksey site but the pool will initially be unheated for the first week due to a problem with the water heating system that could only be tested once the pool was cleaned and heated for opening.
Instead of the normal 24 degrees the pool will be around nine degrees, around the same or a little warmer than wild swimming.

The repairs are expected to be completed to bring the water up to 24 degrees by April 5.
Bookings have already been made for the first week online and people who feel the temperature is too low will be able to request a credit to book a future session.

The pool was out of service last year because of a major leak. Repair work to fix it finished last week.
Ian Brooke, head of community services at Oxford City Council said: “We know from our swimming stakeholder group that people are keen to get back in the water. The pool will be open from Monday at ambient temperature, and we are working with Fusion to make sure the repairs are made as quickly as possible.
"We aim to have the pool heated before the end of the Easter school holidays.”

Woodgreen Leisure Centre outdoor pool near Banbury is also opening on Monday while Woodstock Lido, Riverside Pools in Wallingford and Abbey Meadows Outdoor Pool in Abingdon, which are managed by leisure facilities operator Better, will be opening later in the summer as normal with exact dates to be confirmed.
Claire Jarvis, the treasurer of Chipping Norton’s community-run Lido said: "We are aiming to re-open in mid-April. Right now the pool is being prepared and then we will be using it for a couple of weeks to update our lifeguards on their training and then run a course to train new lifeguards.
"Swimmers can keep an eye on our website chippylido.co.uk to check for confirmation of our opening date, the new timetable and booking system.
