BURGLARS wheeled away copper and lead from a building site in Blenheim Road, Kidlington, in a wheelie bin.
In the early hours of yesterday, thieves stole a wheelie bin from outside a house in Blenheim road.
They then broke into the building site using bolt croppers and removed 75 metres of copper cable and about 160 kilograms of lead.
It is believed they used the stolen bin to transport the stolen goods.
PC Philip Lees, of Kidlington police, said "I am keen to hear from anyone who was near Blenheim road and saw anything suspicious, particularly if anyone was seen pushing a wheelie bin in this area."
PC Philip Lees can be called via 0845 8 505 505. If you do not want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
