It has been one of the most eventful years of modern times in Oxfordshire. The floods alone have made it that.

It is good to report this week that some families have been able to return to their flood-damaged homes in time for Christmas.

We are conscious, however, that there are many families who have not yet managed to return home because damage has yet to be repaired.
