ROADS across Oxfordshire will be closed in the coming weeks after local authorities issued temporary traffic orders so that roadworks can take place.
Reasons for the closures include sewer repairs and the installation of fibre optic cables.
These closures are among a series of public notices issued by local authorities across the county.

Sewer repairs: From March 30, the length of Chapel Street from Cowley Road to Avenue Lane, Oxford will be closed due to sewer repairs, which are set to be completed by April 12.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
Carriageway improvements: As of Monday, the section of Downs Road in Curbridge, south of Range Road, and between its junction with Wheatfield Drive and the public footpath at Curbridge Park Road, was closed.
This was due to carriageway improvements, which are due to be completed by April 2.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

Fibre optic cables: Also since Monday, Manor Road in Bladon has been closed due to the installation of fibre optic cables.
Work there is set to be finished by March 30.
The alternative route for traffic is via the A4095 Park Street, Lamb Lane and vice versa.
From March 31, the installation of fibre optic cables will move to Lamb Lane.
The alternative route for traffic will be via Manor Road, A4095 Park Street and vice versa.
This work is set to be completed on April 6.
Further fibre optics: Since Tuesday, Browns Lane in Charlbury has been closed due to fibre optic cables installation works.
This is set to take two weeks to complete.
Then, from March 30, the same work will take place in Market Street, with this set to take four weeks to finish.

Application for 240 new homes: A reserved matters application for the development of 240 new homes has been submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC).
The houses are planned for land in Benson, to the north of Watlington Road, and east of Hale Road.
The application comes with associated parking, internal road and footpath network, open space, children’s play areas, allotments, drainage attenuation works, and vehicle access from the B4009.
New care home: SODC has also received a full planning permission for a 70-bed care home development.
The home, planned for Aylesbury Road, Thame would include communal space, landscaping and associated development.

Internet cables: From April 1, the section of Busgrove Lane, Busgrove, at the junction with Wyfold Lane to Rumerhedge Bottom will be closed.
This is due to internet cable installation, which is anticipated to be completed by April 14.
The alternative route for traffic is via Stoke Row Road, Horsepond Road and vice versa.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for the works and for access to premises.
