OXFORD MAGISTRATES’ COURT

MICHAEL JOYCE, 30, of Red Bridge Hollow, Oxford, was convicted of driving at 98mph in a 70mph zone on the M40 between Junction 6 to 7 on December 9. He was fined £440, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with four penalty points.

EMMANUEL RUZIGANA, 49, of Boundary Brook Road, Oxford, was convicted of driving without third party insurance and a licence on January 2 on Iffley Road in Oxford. He was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

HOPEFULL SANDATI, 41, of Dashwood Road, Oxford, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver when required between September 7 and October 5 in Banbury. He was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £90. He was also disqualified from driving for six months.

HOPEFULL SANDATI also admitted drug-driving on August 4 in Oxford. He had 4.7mcg of cannabis in one litre of blood, above the legal limit of 2mcg. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £40. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.

PETER QUINN, 27, of Clarks Row, Oxford, admitted attempting to breach a restraining order after conviction between August 28 and September 8 in Abingdon by trying to contact a woman he was banned from contacting. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.

NEIL ROSE, 43, of North Street, Bicester, admitted drug-driving on January 19 in Bucknell, Oxfordshire. He had 33mcg of cocaine in one litre of blood, above the legal limit of 10mcg. He also admitted driving with 800mcg of Benzoylegonine in one litre of blood, above the legal limit of 50mcg. He was fined £369, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £37 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 36 months.

ASHER BHAG, 32, of Spencer Crescent, Oxford, admitted drug-driving on Heyford Hill, Oxford, on July 23. He had 5.6mcg of cannabis in one litre of blood, above the legal limit of 2mcg. He was fined £250, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.

MICHAEL BROCK, 38, of no fixed abode, admitted using threatening, abusive and insulting words on November 10, 2019, in Oxford. He was ordered to pay compensation of £50.

JOSE PHILLIPS, 59, of Botley Road, Oxford, was convicted of three counts of harassment and breaching a restraining order on November 22, 23 and 26 in Oxford. He was also convicted of using threatening and abusive words or behaviour on November 26. He was made subject to a community order and must participate in an activity for 15 days. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £95.

ARI SHAHO, 21, of Gladstone Road, Oxford, admitted being in possession of cannabis, a class B drug, on January 21 on Cowley Road, Oxford. He was discharged conditionally for three months and must pay a victim surcharge of £22 and court costs of £85. He must also forfeit the drugs to be destroyed.

BEN ALDRIDGE, 41, of Beggarsbush Hill, Benson, admitted two counts of assault by beating in Wallingford on August 31. He also admitted criminal damage in Wallingford on the same day. He was made subject to a community order and must carry out a rehabilitation activity for 12 days. He has also been made subject to a restraining order and must not contact the victim directly or indirectly. He will pay compensation of £750.

APRIL MAJOR, 48, of Kings End, Bicester, admitted assault by beating in Bicester and drink-driving on July 26. She had 75mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mcg. She was made subject to a community order and must have treatment for her alcohol dependency under the direction of Probation for six months. She must also pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85. She was disqualified from driving for two years.

CHLOE EDMONDS, 30, of no fixed abode, admitted breaching the requirements of a community order made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on August 24 by failing to attend supervision requirements. She also admitted breaching a community order made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on February 6, 2020, by failing to attend supervision requirements on September 14, 2020, and November 27, 2020. She was sent to prison for a total of 10 weeks because of her ‘wilful and persistent failure to comply with a community order’ and ‘flagrant disregard for court orders’.

LIAM HUGHES, 22, of Peregrine Road, Oxford, admitted criminal damage in Abingdon on June 7 to items costing £420. He was made subject to a community order and must not contact the victim directly or indirectly for three months. He must also pay compensation of £420.

LIAM PRESTIDGE, 32, of Windmill Close, Banbury, admitted assault by beating of a woman in Banbury on September 12. He was made subject to a community order and must attend appointments for 20 days. He must also pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85.

JAKE EVANS, 29, of Wadard's Meadow, Witney, admitted using violence to secure entry to a premises on January 6 in Witney knowing there was someone present on those premises who opposed entry. He also admitted using violence to secure entry to a premises and assault by beating on November 30. He was made subject to a community order and must attend appointments with a responsible officer for 25 days. He must also pay compensation of £385.

LONSDALE GAYLE, 52, of The Park, Harwell, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver when required between September 21 and October 19 in Banbury. He was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90. He was also disqualified from driving for six months.

GREGORY RYMER, 41, of Kennington Road, Oxford, was convicted of failing to give information about the identity of a driver when required between September 23 and October 21 in Banbury. He was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

MARCELL-ROBERT SOARE, 25, of Gillett Road, Banbury, was convicted of using a mobile while driving on July 8 on Hennef Way, Banbury. He was fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £90. He was also disqualified from driving for six months.
