IN RECENT years the role of social media has taken off, creating internet celebrities all over the world - including in Oxfordshire.
The average salary for a social media influencer in the UK, who has a following of more than 42,575 people, is £29,009.
There are a number of Oxford-based social media stars, from foodie to fitness accounts to Oxford uni students showcasing their lives for all to see.

Samira Kazan - @alpha foodie - 986k
Samira first moved to Oxford to attend the university - where she studied mathematics.
She now teaches maths on a daily basis but has decided to keep her passion for food and healthy cooking for her Instagram account - which has now almost amassed 1 million followers.
She posts daily pictures of healthy, colourful food, as well as the recipes.
The Oxford-based foodie just won the Netflix/Channel 4 cooking show 'Crazy Delicious'.

Lubomba Munkuli - @Lubomba - 624k
Lubomba Munkuli, 24, is an Oxford-based fitness model, entrepreneur and sponsored athlete.
Growing up, Mr Munkuli said he struggled to gain 'healthy weight' despite playing lots of sport.
Frustrated by this he decided to look into ways he could grow in size, in a healthy way.
He now posts exercise routines to his Youtube, where he has 25.5k followers, and to his Instagram.
Mr Munkuli is sponsored by the fitness brand Gymshark and MyProtein.
Vee Kativhu - @veekativhu - 46.8k
Vee Kativhu, born in Zimbabwe, moved to the city to attend Oxford University.
Ms Kativhu graduated last summer with a 2.1 in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History.
Her Instagram and Youtube accounts, which have over 194k followers, focus on empowerment and giving studying advice.
She now studies at Harvard University.

Tilly Rose - @thatoxfordgirl - 38.9k
Another Oxford student who has created her social media profile based on her experiences at the university.
Tilly Rose, who graduated with a degree in English Literature and Language, focuses on giving advice for those applying to Oxford University.
Laura Kate - @laurakateloves - 2,341
Laura Kate is a fashion blogger, who also likes to spread awareness about ADHD.
She posts photos of her around Oxford alongside motivational quotes for her followers to read.
