OXFORD Brookes University has been ranked amongst the world's top universities in 13 subject areas, according to the latest QS World University Rankings.
Hospitality and Leisure Management at the university continues to be highly ranked at number 14 in the world and second in the UK.
Business and Management courses also retained their place in the top 100 for the seventh year running. The university was also ranked highly for its law, biological sciences, and education courses.
The QS World University Rankings put Oxford Brookes in the world's top universities for the following subjects:
- Accounting and finance
- Architecture and Built Environment
- Biological sciences
- Business and Management studies
- Computer science and information systems
- Economics and econometrics
- Education
- Engineering - Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing
- English Language and Literature
- Law
- Modern Languages
- Politics and international studies
Professor Alistair Fitt, vice-chancellor at the university, said: “This success acknowledges the high quality teaching we offer our students, across a wide range of subjects, which is rooted in our internationally recognised research.
"We live in challenging times, and we’re committed to providing an excellent higher education experience which prepares our graduates for the future world of work, and helps them tackle some of the most pressing issues our world faces.”
