A CAR driver is ‘lucky to be alive’ after fire crews spent 45 minutes freeing them from a wreckage in the early hours of this morning.
At approximately 3.50am, crews were called to a report of a vehicle leaving the A4130 near Lower Assendon.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by Thames Valley Police and the driver’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Incident commander Paul Herrington said: “The driver was lucky to survive this high-speed impact, the devastation was huge and the debris was all over the road when we arrived.
“We all need to take care when out on the roads, don’t drive tired or too fast and always wear a seatbelt.”
