AN UPCOMING major Netflix series means areas of Oxford city centre will be closed next month.
The notice, issued by Oxfordshire County Council, is one of many released by local authorities in the county during the last week.
Sections of Oxford will be closed to allow filming of Anatomy of a Scandal.
The likes of Sienna Miller and Rupert Friend, who grew up in Stonesfield, West Oxfordshire, are cast members.
Filming schedule
On March 25, Catte Street will be closed from 6pm to 2am, and the New College Lane road will be also be closed from 6pm to 2am.
On March 26, Brasenose Lane, Catte Street, St Mary’s Passage and Radcliffe Square will be closed from 2.30pm to 2am.
On March 27, the footway on the northeast side of Magdalen Bridge will be closed from 11pm until 2am.
Finally, on March 28, Pembroke Square and Beef Lane will both be closed from 7pm to 7am.
In addition to the news of filming in Oxford city centre, other public notices also included planning appeals and further road closures.

- Cricket club hearing: A virtual hearing will open on March 8 for an appeal by Abingdon Vale Cricket Club.
It relates to an application to the Vale of White Horse District Council for a three-storey building, comprising nine residential apartments at the former cricket pitch in Northcourt Lane, Abingdon.
An inspector will hold the hearing opening on March 8.
Anyone wishing to attend must make their interest known to the planning inspectorate case officer as soon as possible prior to the hearing.
When contacting the case officer, it is advised to confirm whether you want to take an active part in the proceedings or attend only as an observer
- Fibre optic cables: The county council has issued a notice to stop vehicles in Pooles Lane, Charlbury while fibre optic cables are installed.
The order came into force on Monday, and is anticipated to last until March 8.
The council notice said appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via Dancers Hill, The Slade, Enstone Road, The Playing Close and vice versa.

- Traffic signal repairs: A village street is set to be closed for almost a month while repairs are made to traffic signals.
High Street in Clifton Hampden will close from March 8, with work anticipated to be completed by April 5.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
- Weight limit lifted: A weight limit on heavy goods vehicles is to be temporarily suspended due to an ongoing road closure.
A traffic order has been introduced in Westminster Way in North Hinksey, and the anticipated finish date for the suspension is August 31.
The effect of the order is to temporarily suspend the seven and a half tonne weight limit in Westminster Way, at its junction with the A34 for southbound traffic only.
An earlier version of this article said filming for Anatomy of a Scandal would take place in February. It will in fact take place in March.
