PREMIER side Lord Nuffield Social Club ladies were forced to battle all the way for victory away to Section 1 rivals Quarry Gate C in the Greene King ODDA.
Angie Pointin beat Kim Reynolds to put Nuffield ahead, before Quarry hit back to lead 2-1 through Sam Merrifield and Janet Loveridge (180).
Claire Bywaters overcame Debbie Stevens to square the scores at 2-2, but Quarry's battlers rallied once again with a win from Maggie Dexter-Naylor.
Jo Gleed beat Sue Poyser to make it all square after the singles, before Lord Nuffield pinched the pairs 2-1.
In their first season in Section 1, Gladiators Social Club A visited Berinsfield Community Centre B and recorded the third victory of the campaign, winning 6-3.
John Smith is the new house champion of the Three Horseshoes, Old Marston.
