PEOPLE from the Rose Hill estate in Oxford joined a walking tour of Christmas lights they helped create with local artists over the weekend.
More than 40 people turned out for the tour with Oxford-based artists Katy Beinart and Jo Huyg on Saturday evening.
It marked the climax of a project that has been running since October, involving six families from the estate, Rose Hill Primary School and the Rose Hill Youth Club in partnership with Modern Art Oxford.
Miss Beinart explained: "We wanted to create a series of Christmas lights that represented the personalities of people living in the Rose Hill area.
"The ideas we got for the lights were really interesting, especially those from the families, where we found out what they were really into and learned a bit of their life story.
"For example there was one woman who collected dolls, so we have made a Christmas light that looks like a doll's face."
There are eight different lights dotted around the Rose Hill estate, two of which are on the youth centre and the primary school.
