His next of kin have been told and the death is being treated as unexplained. No arrests have been made.

Writing in an urgent alert online on Saturday night, Thames Valley Police neighbourhood watch teams urged people in Blackbird Leys to look for Jolly who could be 'injured and frightened'.

The family say they have been searching the OX4 area this morning but his whereabouts is still unknown.

They say two people saw him on Cowley Road on Saturday morning and there was another sighting at Oxford Golf Club.

They have urged anybody who spots Jolly to call the numbers in the Dog Lost poster, pictured below, instead of approaching him as he is probably scared.

Oxford Mail:

Thames Valley Police have urged anybody with information about the house fire to call 101 quoting the reference number 2576 OF 19/2.
