A MAN has died after a major fire in Cowley.
Emergency services raced to a house on Watlington Road at 11.45pm on Friday.
*UPDATE*: Family are still desperately searching for missing dog Jolly
Police officers helped evacuate neighbours and cordoned off the road in both directions.
Firefighters worked through the night to put the flames out.
Police have confirmed that the body of a man was found inside the property.

His next of kin have now been informed and the death is being treated as unexplained.
The circumstances of the fire are still being investigated as detectives work at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
In a Thames Valley alert last night, officers said that Jolly the dog had bolted after the house fire and was still missing.
The family are still desperately searching for the black and white Collie cross Spaniel, pictured below.
