A MEMBER of the public was assaulted and a golf course damaged during an incident this afternoon.
Thames Valley Police reported that between 1.30pm and 4pm today, the riders of a blue quad bike and two orange motocross bikes were suspected of causing ‘significant damage’ to several fields and Henley Golf Club course.
A member of the public who approached the individuals was then assaulted.

The group travelled from Brightwell Salome, down to Ewelme and into South Stoke and the Henley area, before going onto Ipsden.
The riders were dressed in dark clothing and wearing motocross style gear.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information about the vehicles or individuals involved.
