THE family of an Oxford graduate who died in a crash on the M40 today paid tribute to her.
Kathryn Light, 47, graduated from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford in 1981 and subsequently qualified as a solicitor.
She was a partner in a leading City law firm before joining the Financial Ombudsman Service for a number of years.
A statement from her family said she was a devoted mother to Jack and Claudia, aged 13 and 14, and gave up full-time work to spend more time with her children.
It said: "She also had time to enjoy her varied interests ranging from bird watching in Norfolk, raising money for various charities, golf and an English literature degree at Birkbeck."
Mrs Light, who lived in London, died on Friday, November 30, at Junction 4 of the M40 travelling southbound. Her green Land Rover Freelander collided with a stationary white and silver Iveco lorry on the hard shoulder.
