AN EXHIBITION about life on the waterways is being staged in the Vale and Downland Museum.
The Living Waterways exhibition was put on by Banbury Museum to celebrate the anniversary of the Banbury Canal Rally 50 years ago, which marked a turning point in the survival of the Oxford Canal.
Other restorations followed including the efforts to restore the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal which ran through the Vale of White Horse and had a wharf in Wantage.
The exhibition, which will run between January 15 and March 13, is sponsored by Waterways World magazine and Thames Water.
As part of the show, there will be a Family Friendly Day on Saturday, January 26, between 10.30am and 4pm.
