FIREFIGHTERS were called to a pub last night after a water pipe burst from the cold weather.
At around 9.40pm, crews raced to The Plough on Witney High Street after reports of flooding.
Teams from Witney and Eynsham station were first at the scene and found the leaking pipe in the roof of the function room.
They 'capped' it off to stop the water gushing into the pub and spent time cleaning up the flooding to protect the building from significant water damage.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service urged people to visit 345alive.co.uk to find out how to stop water pipes from bursting into the cold weather.
