A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a young girl was 'hit in the face', 'pushed over' and drenched with a can of Coke.
The 15-year-old girl was assaulted at the entrance to Princess Diana Park near to Bradley Arcade in Banbury.
The offender hit the girl in the face and pushed her over before opening a can of Coke and pouring it over her.
The victim sustained cuts to her hands and knees from the fall, but did not require hospital treatment.
A 16-year-old boy from Banbury has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses of the incident that took place at around midday on January 29.
Investigating officer PC James Peachey, based at Banbury police station, said: "I am appealing for anyone who was near the entrance to the park at the time of the incident and may have seen something that will help the investigation.
"Anyone who has information should contact the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, or make a report online, quoting the reference 43210039588.
"Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
