NEW affordable homes, plans for a zebra crossing, and several road closures dominate the latest public notices issued by local authorities in Oxfordshire.
In the last week, a variety of notices have been published by councils, impacting residents in different ways.
From traffic orders to planning applications, these notices stretch right across the county.
Notices: 20mph limit in towns, road closures and Randolph refurb
Affordable homes: An application submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council outlines plans for 31 new affordable homes at an existing greenfield site in Thame.
The site is at land to the west of Windmill Road in the town.
The masterplan includes onsite parking and shared green spaces for residents and the wider community.
The proposed design also includes proposed upgrades to local infrastructure where the Phoenix Trail footpath and cycleway meets Windmill Road.
New zebra crossing: Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct a zebra crossing, for use by pedestrians, in Radley.
The crossing, designed to improve pedestrian safety in the area, will be located in Church Road, approximately 135 metres northwest of its junction with St James Road.

Fibre optic cables: Two lengths of Sires Hill, Didcot will be be closed to vehicles from February 4.
The county council issued the traffic order due to the installation of fibre optic cables in the area.
Work is anticipated to be completed by April 1.
The notice from the council says that appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works, and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via the A4130, Hadden Hill, Abingdon Road, Lady Grove, Sires Hill and vice versa.
Vegetation clearance: Clifton Hampden’s High Street will be closed to traffic from February 20.
The county council made the traffic order due to vegetation clearance work, which is set to be completed by March 1.
The closure will operate between 7am and 7pm.
The notice from the council said appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works, and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via the A415, Abingdon Ock Street, B4017, High Street, Church Street, Appleford Road, B4016, Main Road, B4016, Sires Hill, Didcot, Road, High Street and vice versa.

New gas supply: The road through the village of Toot Baldon will be temporarily closed while a new gas supply is installed.
Work will begin on February 15 and is anticipated to be completed by March 1.
The effect of the order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic proceeding in the road through Toot Baldon.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works, and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via the A4074, B4015 & B480 and vice versa.
