A major development site in Oxford has been sold for £8m. The seven-acre site is at Sandy Lane near the Oxford ring road and was put on the market by Exel Logistics. It has been bought by developer Naus Albion, a joint venture between Albion Land and Naus.
John Greaves, head of Lambert Smith Hampton's Oxford office, said: "We had 28 formal bids which demonstrates the interest in development opportunities in Oxford."
Albion Land director Simon Parsons, added: "Despite some negative undertones in the marketplace as a whole, we are delighted to have secured this high profile site.
"We already have a strong level of occupier interest - land availability in the Oxford area is an extremely rare commodity and as such, this represents a very exciting opportunity to undertake commercial development on the ring road."
Mr Parsons said the aim was to develop a mixed warehouse, industrial and trade scheme which could be worth up to £28m.
