THERE are now a number of flood alert across Oxfordshire following heavy rain overnight.
Oxfordshire County Council warned that river levels have risen and with more forecast over the coming days, residents should be prepared for flooding.

These are the flood alerts in place in Oxfordshire as of today:
- River Cherwell from Lower Heyford down to and including Oxford
- River Coln and its tributaries
- River Evenlode from Moreton in Marsh to Cassington and also the River Glyme at Wootton and Woodstock
- River Ray and its tributaries from Shipton Lee to and including Islip
- River Thame and Chalgrove Brook
- River Thames and tributaries in the Oxford area
- River Thames for the Abingdon area
- Upper River Great Ouse in Oxfordshire
In a statement on its Facebook page, the council wrote: "Some of you may have heard the heavy rain that crossed Oxfordshire overnight.
"With more forecast over coming days and river levels already high due to rainfall over the past five or six weeks it is worth having a heightened awareness of the county's river levels just now."
