A ROAD in an Oxfordshire town was closed after a white car burst in flames.

Firefighters from Henley station were called to Reading Road yesterday afternoon.

One crew tackle the fire whilst another closed the road for public safety.

Once it was safe to remove the car Reading Road was opened again.

Photos from the scene taken by members of the public show the front of the vehicle completely destroyed by the flames.

It is yet unclear what caused the fire.
