A WOMAN had to be cut out from her car after a serious crash.
She had been driving at ‘high-speeds’ just outside of Middle Barton when she crashed with another car on Saturday.
She was left with ‘serious injuries’ and was ‘trapped’ in the vehicle.
Firefighters, paramedics, an air ambulance, and police officers all raced to the scene at around 11.15am.
Crews had to work with hydraulic tools to cut the roof off her car and take her out safely.
She was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.
Writing on Facebook, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service reminded drivers of the dangers of driving on icy roads.
It said driving in winter is ‘particularly hazardous’ with low sunshine, slippery road surfaces and reduced visibility.
It also urged motorists to keep ‘plenty of space’, leave ‘double’ the amount of stopping distance and keep a pair of ‘sunglasses handy’ for when you are blinded by glare.
